Just north of NYC is Mohonk Lake: A beautiful mountain lake on the Shawangunk Ridge. The lake is part of the Mohonk Mountain House and is a site to behold. Here is the getaway I need! It is a place of nature and relaxation. A place to help inspire, enlighten and unlock the our “Lavender Spa Collection”!
Before the creative juices flow, a little R&R. At Mohonk Lake, you can hike, swim, canoe, try a flight of select craft beers at the lounge, or, best of all…head to the spa!
This is where some of the best inspiration comes from. While developing our fragrances, it’s the places of peace and relaxation that we try to capture in each collection.
Last day and the one I’ve been waiting for…spa day! I relax my sore muscles in a sauna in preparation for massage. The scents of the place are incredible: floral lavender, spicy clove, citrus-sweet lemon and the rich aroma of cedar and birch.
These are the elements I’m going to capture in the “Lavender Spa Collection”!
In the Wallford Fragrance Labs with our Artisan Perfumers; We start with rich-spicy clove, that will help build the aromatic core of this fragrance.
Cloves are the rich, unopened flower buds of Syzygium evergreen trees. Their aroma is unmistakable! Think of fall, pumpkin-pies and holiday spice. The fragrance is strong with a sweet-spicy and fruity notes.
Now we capture the spirit of the eucalyptus tree. The eucalyptus leave have a minty, pine scent with a touch of sweet honey. Their nature is one of purity and cleansing and will further develop the core of the “Lavender Spa Fragrance”.
